When a company invites you to Shor, onboarding is quick: three short screens and you’re set up. Tax forms and contract signing happen afterwards, from your dashboard.

Before You Start

Have ready:
  • The invitation email from your employer (check spam if needed)
  • A government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID)
  • A phone or laptop with a camera for the selfie step

The Flow

Accept the Invitation

Click the link in your invitation email. It takes you to a signup page pre-filled with your name and email.

Create Your Account

Set a password or continue with SSO. Verify your email.

Confirm You're a Professional

On the role selection screen, choose I’m a Professional. You’re here to get paid.

Pick How You're Contracting

Tell us whether you’re working as an Individual (freelancer or independent contractor) or through a Business entity (your own company or LLC). If it’s a business, you’ll add the business name, registered address, and country and state of incorporation.

Verify Your Identity

Click Start Verification to open the secure verification session. Inside it, you’ll upload your ID, take a selfie for a liveness check, and provide any other information required for your country. Most verifications finish instantly; if your submission enters manual review, it typically takes 1-2 business days.
Once verification completes, you land on your professional dashboard.

What Happens After Onboarding

From your dashboard, you’ll see any contracts waiting for signature. Signing a contract will:
  • Walk you through reviewing the agreement
  • Collect the right US tax form if required (W-9, W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E)
  • Ask you to accept EOR terms if you’re being hired as a full EOR employee
  • Let you sign electronically
Payments land in your Shor account within minutes of your employer approving them; no setup required for that. Separately, when you want to withdraw to your own bank, link it from Finance → Connections.

Pausing and Resuming

If you need to step away mid-verification, just close the window. Your progress is saved; the button will say Continue Verification next time you come back.
