Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to your Shor workspace to ask questions about contracts, submitted work, payments, and balances. You can also create contract drafts and approve or reject submitted work after reviewing an explicit confirmation request. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), a standard that lets AI assistants use tools from another application. Shor supplies the tools and checks workspace access each time they run.

Connect your assistant

You need an employer workspace with integration access enabled and an admin role to set up a connection. Your assistant’s plan and workspace policies must also allow custom connections.
1

Open AI assistants

In Shor, go to Settings → Integrations → AI assistants and choose Set up for Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor.
2

Add Shor in your assistant

Follow the setup dialog and copy the server address into your assistant. For Cursor, Add to Cursor fills in the address for you. If remote setup is unavailable, contact Shor to check integration availability for your environment.
3

Sign in and approve workspace access

Complete the hosted sign-in flow, select the intended Shor workspace, and approve access. Adding a server address alone does not grant access. Shor creates the connection automatically; you do not need to create an API key or enter a client ID.
4

Check the connection

Ask: “Show my Shor workspace and list my contracts.” Check the workspace name before requesting any actions.
For ChatGPT, custom apps are configured under Settings → Apps with developer mode enabled where permitted. Select OAuth when configuring Shor. Exact availability and menus depend on your account and workspace controls; see ChatGPT’s setup guide.

What you can do

The assistant receives selected workspace fields, not every detail visible in Shor. For example, a contract summary does not include the full signed agreement or a complete professional profile.

Example prompts

  • “Show submitted timesheets awaiting approval, including amounts, currencies, payment dates, and automatic payment settings.”
  • “List my contracts, then show the submitted milestones for the contract I select.”
  • “Show failed payments and their scheduled dates.”
  • “What are my available balances, and when were they checked?”
  • “Create a contract draft titled Website redesign for me to finish in Shor.”
  • “Review this submitted timesheet and ask me to confirm before approving it.”
  • “Reject this submitted milestone with the reason: The agreed deliverables are incomplete. Ask for my confirmation first.”
These are requests for the assistant to carry out using Shor’s tools. A write still requires confirmation, appropriate access, and a supported assistant version. Lists may span multiple pages; ask the assistant to check every page when you need a complete review.

Review actions before confirming

Every draft creation, approval, and rejection requires an explicit confirmation request from your assistant. Review the workspace and the exact proposed action. For approvals and rejections, the confirmation includes the professional, contract, amount and currency, and payment date. Timesheet approvals also show automatic payment settings; milestone approvals explain that payment processing is attempted immediately. Rejections include your reason. If the details change or the review expires, ask the assistant to fetch the latest information and show a new confirmation. If your assistant cannot display the required confirmation, complete the action in Shor.
Approving work can create a payment obligation. Timesheet payments follow their due date and effective automatic payment setting. Milestone approval attempts payment processing immediately. Approval does not mean the professional has been paid; check the resulting payment status.
Creating a contract draft does not sign or activate it. Finish the compensation, terms, review, and signing steps in Shor.

What still happens in Shor

Use the Shor application to sign or activate contracts, edit existing contract terms, initiate a standalone payout, or manage bank connections. The current assistant tools do not expose full professional profiles, general search, upcoming-payment summaries, or webhook subscriptions. A balance is a point-in-time observation. An unavailable balance is an error, not a zero balance or permission to spend.

Permissions and disconnecting

Each connection belongs to the Shor membership and workspace used during sign-in. Connecting one workspace does not grant access to another. Available tools depend on the connection’s permissions and your current role; role changes apply to subsequent requests. Approval and rejection require an admin role. To review access, open Settings → Integrations → Manage connection access. This takes you to Settings → API keys → MCP connections, where admins can see the granted permissions, expiry, and connection status. Choose Disconnect to revoke an active hosted connection. Shor rejects subsequent requests using that revoked connection. Never paste API keys or sign-in tokens into a conversation. Hosted setup handles sign-in without sharing those secrets in chat.
